THE ROYAL OFFICE OF THE CROWN PRINCE IS BENT ON PROTECTING AND PROMOTING THE BAKONZO’S CULTURE IN THE RWENZORI REGION OF MID WESTERN UGANDA

Yes, we need to know all the facts about the Bakonzo ethnic community’s cultural leadership affairs within Rwenzori region.

His Highness, crown Prince Swaleh Tibamwenda Basikania, stands firm, and promises that, the monarchical Royal website, named OPEN UNIVERSITY, will soon be sufficiently arranged to provide more study, and learning opportunities.

Crown Prince Tibamwenda explains it that, traditionally, real or actual universities are known to perform 3 main or major duties in their communities. These are: Teaching, Research as well knowledge and Technology Transfer. The content and form of each of these functions depends in principle on the socio-economic contexts in which universities operate.

Although, many people may know these 3 functions only, universities contribute to social change in communities in a number of ways. First and foremost, universities play an important role in their communities by creating prosperity through RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT, and by promoting CULTURE.

Crown Prince declared it that, he places culture at the heart of the development: He goes on to say that, culture is an essential investment for PEACE and STABILITY, and is a prerequisite for success of human development. That, peace and stability could not prevail within the Bakonzo ethnic community, during the existence of both Rwenzururu armed rebel organization, commanded in succession by Isaya Mukirania, and charles kisembo mumbere, who has also been creating counter development confusion, while utilizing the gang of the so called Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu.

Culture also builds social cohesion, mobilizing communities around its care and management. Crown Prince Tibamwenda Swaleh Basikania highlights it that, culture in the development programmes at local, national, and international levels is critical for sustainable development.

Crown Prince further points it out that culture provides, Identity and National Unity: Culture is fundamental to a nation's identity, providing a sense of belonging and shared heritage. In Uganda, where numerous ethnic groups coexist, culture helps to build a sense of national unity by emphasizing shared values and traditions.

Tourism and Economic Growth: Uganda's diverse cultural heritage is a major draw for tourists, contributing to the country's economy. Cultural sites, festivals, and traditions attract visitors, generating revenue and employment.

Preservation of Heritage: Culture provides a framework for preserving and transmitting knowledge, traditions, and skills from one generation to the next. This ensures the continuity of cultural practices and the protection of indigenous knowledge systems.

Social and Economic Transformation: Culture can be harnessed to bring about positive social and economic change. By promoting cultural activities and tourism, communities can generate income and improve livelihoods.

Community Well-being: Culture influences various aspects of people's lives, from their perceptions and aspirations to their behaviors and beliefs. By valuing and promoting cultural practices, communities can strengthen social cohesion, enhance social support systems, and foster a sense of well-being.

However, there are some Bakonzo elites, up to now they have maintained inferiority complex of identifying themselves as Bakonzo by tribe, instead, they identify themselves as Banyarwenzururu B’Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, owned, regulated and controlled by the former high profile criminal suspect, Charles Mumbere. Please be proud to be identified as a Mukonzo by tribe, belonging to the Bakonzo ethnic community, one of the tribal societies that God the Almighty raised up to form part of the Ugandan citizenry. Forget all about the past fears, thatwere created by both, late Isaya Mukirania, and the son of his wife, Charlse Mumbere a state wise challenged old topmost Rwenzururu Warlord, and a warrior who is currently troubled and miserable age.
