THE BAKONZO AND BANYABINDI WHO REFUSED TO BE CALLED BANYARWENZURURU WERE EVICTED FROM THEIR BIBANJA AND PROPERTIES WERE LOOTED BY ISAYA MUKIRANIA AND MUMBERE'S WARRIORS OF RWENZURURU REBELLION.
Our dear Followers, members of the learning Bond, and other comrades in our common struggle, you are most welcome back from the public and an Islamic Religious Holiday of Idi Al Fitri, which was celebrated on Sunday, the 30th of March, 2025.
In the previous communication, we looked at how the threatened Bakonzo, became compelled to be called "Banyarwenzururu" out of Fear, and for self preservation in order to remain alive.
Now, in here, we are focusing on how the Bakonzo, and Banyabindi, who refused to be called "Banyarwenzururu," and support Rwenzururu Rebellion, suffered a lot, in terms of loss, psychological Torture, and mental anguish!
The victimized Bakonzo were evicted from their own pieces of land, commonly known as Bibanja. They became displaced internally. Others became scattered outside the Rwenzori Mountain ranges, to distant areas like Mubende, Mityana, Bushenyi and others.
The 2002 population and Housing Census (NPHC) revealed that, the Bakonzo ethnic people, who live in the Rwenzori region, constitute 72.3% of the tribes in Kasese and Bundibugyo Districts. This therefore means that, of those who refused to be called Banyarwenzururu and support the Rwenzururu Rebellion had not been evicted, and displaced to get scattered as it so happened to be, by now, the population of the Bakonzo would be close to 90%, within the mentioned districts above. So, now the question is, did Isaya Mukirania, and his Rwenzururu warriors, - who some people wrongly perceive as "Liberators" contribute, maintain / sustain or reduce on the population of the Bakonzo ethnic Community? Also remember those who were killed in the so called Armed Political rebellion of the Rwenzururu Rebel Organization!
The Banyabindi ethnic people, who equally refused to support Rwenzururu armed Political rebellion, suffered a lot! Their properties were looted, and others got destroyed by Isaya's Rwenzururu warriors.
MAKING A FLASHBACK TO FIND OUT WHETHER ISAYA MUKIRANIA USED RWENZURURU REBELLION AS A LIBERATOR.
The warriors and militants of Rwenzururu Rebel Organization of 1962, were seasoned and sworn wrongdoers. They were kidnappers, Abductors, Rapists, Looters, Robbers, Thieves, Thugs, Extortionists, Murders etc!
The wrongly perceived as "Liberators", Rwenzururu warriors, under the central command of Isaya Mukirania, and Charles kisembo Mumbere in critical, and sinful succession of the wrongly perceived "Liberation Struggle", would kidnap Bakonzo girls, Women, and wives. While in captivity, the kidnapped and abducted Bakonzo females would be forced into something similar to sex slavery.
The same Isaya warrior of Rwenzururu Rebellion, would slaughter the Bakonzo ethnic people, as if they slaughtering sheep, cows, goats and other animals. Other innocent Bakonzo ethnic people would be speared to death in agony! Others would be hacked to death with pangas. Others would be stabbed with Dugas (fighting knives). Etc.
It is no longer news to be told that, Isaya's warriors of Rwenzururu even kidnapped the Hon. Member of Parliament, Ezironi Bwambale. This was a Mukonzo Legislator for Kasese District, in the Uganda National Assembly. The same warriors, under their central command, apprehended, and killed an innocent university student, called Moses Tsindika Kireru. This was a youthful Mukonzo student, whom they killed, while well knowing that, he was on an Academic work within the area! At this point, now, again pause, and ask yourself, with such kind of murderous act, was Isaya really Liberating the Bakonzo ethnic people, Inhabiting the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges? Alas!
REMEMBERING THE CHURCH MONEY OF OFFER AND TITHES GRABBED DURING CHRISTMAS DAY.
As this was communicated in the previous post, on addition to that, the same Rwenzururu warriors, also grabbed some crosses from the Christian churches during that time, when they were grabbing money!
The Rwenzururu warriors destroyed some crosses, and dented others; which they kept moving around with, in a very contemptuous manner! It is believed that, if sinful Isaya and his offending militants had been captured alive, they would have been subjected to answer for this crime of its own kind.
Explaining it using legal terms, this crime involves "Defacing, Damaging, Polluting or otherwise, physically mistreating a Religious Artifact in a way that the Actor knows will outraged the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action. To this Isaya, and his warriors of Rwenzururu Rebel Organization would have been charged with; Discretion of a venerated object for disgraceful purpose or intention.
THE WRONG CONCEPT OF THE WORD BANYARWENZURURU USED BY THOSE BENT ON TOTAL OBLITERATION OF THE BAKONZO ETHNIC TRIBE IN THE RWENZORI REGION OF MID WESTERN UGANDA.
The Monarchical Royal office of the Crown Prince for Obwami Bwa Bukonzo Kingdom, under stewardship of Crown Prince Swaleh Tibamwenda Basikania The-King-in-Waiting, has this to say, it argues that, the concept of "Rwenzururu" was first used by Omwami George Basikania of Bukonzo Kingdom. That, he first used it in his original Rwenzururu Freedom Movement (RFM) of the year 1961. This was a pro people Movement, that brought together several different ethnic groups and interests within Kasese and Bundibugyo Districts.
That, before the year 1974, the Kasese, by then generally called Busongora and Bundibugyo, by then generally called Bwambale were mere counties of the former Tooro colonial District of the imperial Uganda's western region.
That, the main objective of the original Rwenzururu Freedom Movement, of Omwami George Basikania, was to lobby or advocate for an independent district of the Bakonzo and Bamba ethnic Communities, who desired to be separated from the then oppressive, and secretarian District Administration of Tooro. That, this objective was achieved during the year 1974, when the Bakonzo and Bamba ethnic Communities each got its own district, that is Kasese and Bundibugyo Districts respectively.
The Royal office further argues that, Omwami Basikania had appealed, and hoped that, the district advocated for would be granted under an ethnic tribal name of "Bukonzo" District, indicating that, the Bakonzo people are different from the Batooro people of the then expanded and extended British Colonial Tooro Kingdom. So, with this, Omwami Basikania sought that, with the creation of a new, and separate district, with a tribal naming, would enable Bukonzo Kingdom remain appearing on the National Territorial Map of Uganda; as an Ethnically Diverse Country, on the African continent. But unfortunately, this never happened to be the case.
That, in the year 1962, the prison escapee or Fugitive Isaya Mukirania started an armed Political rebellion, which dubiously used the name "Rwenzururu" this, Rwenzururu Rebel Organization. Among other aims and objectives, while using the instrumentality of the said rebellion, Congolese Isaya Mukirania wanted to destroy, and replace Bukonzo Kingdom of the Bakonzo ethnic Community, with something completely different. So, after having used it in an armed Political rebellion with its associated atrocities, "Rwenzururu" concept then began reminding the Bakonzo ethnic people of the bitter memories.
That, remnants of Rwenzururu Rebel Organization, who later had to gang up and become "associate" members of the so called Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) found, reason, and pleasure of identifying themselves as "Banyarwenzururu."
With their dubious undertakings in "dirty politics," the so called Banyarwenzururu now belong to the ganged up membership of "OBR" through tactical propaganda, intend to negatively influence people, to acquire a WRONG CONCEPT of the word RWENZURURU; which is currently very detested by the upright thinking Bakonzo ethnic people, and others
They misleadingly argue that, the concept "Rwenzururu" is appropriate, since it congregates them as one people, that live in and around the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges. That, they add that "NZURURU" is a Lhukonzo WORD meaning Snow. Thus, the prefix "Banya" is added to identify the people who live in, and around the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges.
Anyway, the truth if the matter remains that, as it was communicated recently, there is no existence of the Region or area called "Rwenzururu." Therefore, there is no single ethnic group nor tribal society of people called Banyarwenzururu.

Going by the information given above, something remains clear in mind. That, while using the word Banyarwenzururu, Isaya Mukirania, and his successor Charles kisembo Mumbere, had all the intentions of exterminating the Bakonzo ethnic Community from the Rwenzori region. And in doing so, the said rebel leaders also aimed at destroying the entire Bukonzo Kingdom.
Following this, we shall be looking at the reason why Bukonzo Kingdom does not appear on the Map of Uganda.
