HIS ROYAL MAJESTY KABAKA RONALD MUWENDA MUTEBI ACTED ON FALSE INFORMATION TO TREAT MUMBERE AS A KING.

HIS ROYAL MAJESTY KABAKA RONALD MUWENDA MUTEBI ACTED ON FALSE INFORMATION TO TREAT MUMBERE AS A KING.

Please, Note it that, this is an official statement, issued by the Royal office of the Crown Prince for Obwami Bwa Bukonzo Kingdom, under the stewardship of the Prince - Heir, Swaleh Tibamwenda Basikania, the Legitimate King in Waiting to be enthroned on the Bukonzo Kingship Kingship Throne.

In this statement, the same Royal Office wishes to clarify it that, His royal Majesty, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, the Kabaka of Buganda acted on false information to respect, treat and deal with Charles Kisembo Mumbere as a King. And the same statement runs as follows:

On the 21st day of November 2016, a regional security meeting was convened following a spate of attacks, and unrest in southwestern Uganda. The meeting resolved to dismantle all camps which had been established by Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu militias, who were being portrayed as Royal guards of “Omusinga” Charles Kisembo Mumbere, who by then had been once pardoned by the Government as an Ex Rebel Leader. These rebel camps were largely situated within Kamabale village of Kasese District.

On the 26th day of November 2016, a combined security Force, comprising of UPDF Soldiers and Uganda Police Force personnels, raided the so called administrative offices of the so called Rwenzururu Kingdom in Kasese Municipality. Eight (militias of the so called Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) were shot dead before arresting two others.

On the 27th day pf Novemeber 2016, State security forces surrounded Mumbere’s place of residence wrongly called Buhikira Palace within Kasese Municipality. The Government troops later stormed the said residence. Mumbere and several of his “followers” of OBR were arrested in a battle like situation during then.

On the 30th of Novermber 2016, Charles Mumbere was formally paraded before a magistrate’s Court in Jinja, and he was charged with Treason, among other charges.

On the 13th day of December, 2016, criminal suspect Charles Mumbere was remanded to Luzira Government prison on the shores of Lake Victoria.

On the 13th day of January 2017, the High Court in Jinja Town released criminal suspect Charles Mumbere on Court Bail, bu he was re-arrested shortly after.

On the 6th day of February 2017, criminal suspect Mumbere was again released on Court bail under very restrictive terms and conditions.

In December 2018, criminal suspect Mumbere was committed to the I ternationla crimes Division of the High Court in Kololo - Kampala, by the Jinja High Court.

In February 2021, criminal suspect Mumbere asked the Government of the Republic of Uganda to withdraw charges against him, and his militias of OBR, wrongly called Royal Guards.

In November 2022, the international crimes Division shifted from Kampala to Jinja District the hearing of about 50 militias of OBR.

In April 2023, criminal suspect Mmumbere appointed a committee to spearhead negontiations with the Central Government over his release, and that of his followers.

On the 13th day of June 2023, the Director of Public prosecution withdrew all charges against Mumbere and his followers.

On the 14th day of October 2023, the 2nd time pardoned Ex Rebel leader, Charles Mumbere was allowed to return to Kasese District in mid western Uganda.

Mumbere returned free, freed from serious charges that had then been dropped by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Givernment of the Republic of Uganda.

RELEASED MUMBERE THANKED KABAKA RONALD MUTEBI FOR HIS SOLIDARITY.

Upon return to Kasese district, the twice pardoned Ex - Rebel leader Mumbere, thanked His Royal Majesty, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi. The Kabaka (King) of Buganda Kingdom, who had showed him solidarity while he (Mumbere) was still experiencing his troubles.

In his speech, Mumbere said: “I want to thank the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II. Who showed solidarity with us when we experienced troubles in 2016. He is the only Cultural leader in the entire Country who extended sympathies to us for whatever befell us.”

Still sticking to his reconciliation script, the twice pardoned Ex Rebel Mumbere also thanked the President Y.K Museveni, his brother, General Salim Saleh, and the Dialogue committee set up the Central Government in consultation with OBR establishment, to resolve the crisis.

FALSE AND MISLEADING INFORMATION WHICH PORTRAYS MUMBERE AS A KING.

The Royal office of the Crown Prince for Obwami Bwa Bukonzo Kingdom, headed by the Crown Prince Swaleh Tibamwenda Basikania, has always been telling members of the general public about the falsehood under whuch Mumbere, and OBR have been operating.

It is not news to learn it that, on the 2nd day of April 2005, H.E President Y.K Museveni, appointed a ministerial committee on OBR. This was a committee of inquiry, which was tasked to investigate the controversy surrounding the recognition of OBR as a cultural institution.

The same committee submitted its Report to H.E the President, on the 4th of October, 2005. The largest part of the Report was compiled on complete falsehood with a lot of misleading information.

Acting on the same falsehood and misleading information, in 2009, President Museveni officially recognized OBR, as a cultural institution with pardoned Ex rebel Mumbere as its head, deisgnated as “Omusinga’, wrongly meaning “King”.

Starting from that time, many people - including His Royal Majesty, the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, - began recognizing, respecting and treating pretender Charles Mumbere as king, while he is not at all.

Indeed, Mumbere has always been operating under false pretences, and His Royal majesty Kabaka Mutebi acted on false and misleading information to treat Mumbere as King, while he is not at all. You are required to wait for clear information about the Report of the Ministerial Committee of Inquiry, which contained false and misleading statements about OBR.
